SHRI M V TANKSALE, CHAIRMAN & MANAGING DIRECTOR, CENTRAL BANK OF INDIA CONFERRED WITH ‘PERSON OF THE YEAR’ AWARD

In a glittering ceremony organized by SKOCH foundation Shri M V Tanksale, Chairman & Managing Director of Central Bank of India has been conferred the title of PERSON OF THE YEAR for his contribution in the area of Financial Inclusion. The learned Juries have found that Shri Tanksale has made immense contribution in this field during his earlier tenure in Union Bank of India and Punjab National Bank. Shri Tanksale has ensured to migrate all the 7 sponsored Regional Rural Bank on CBS platform in a very short time. He made special efforts in providing financial literacy to the SHGs and linking them for financial inclusion task. Dr C Rangarajan, Hon’ble Chairman, Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister has  conferred the award on Shri Tanksale. It is informed that Central Bank of India has successfully completed cent per cent financial inclusion in all 3741 allotted villages. Bank’s scheme of Financial Literacy is very popular in the villages and it speaks about the contribution of Shri Tanksale in rural areas.
