Shri. M.V. Tanksale, Chairman & Managing Director of Central Bank of India received ISO 27001::2005 certificate from Shri.Makrand V.Deshpande Head, Western Region of STQC (Software testing quality certificate), a government of India agency for compliance with the international standard for Security capabilities relating to processes policies, practices & infrastructure for its Information Technology division which includes Data Centre, Core Banking Solution Project Office & RRB Project Office, Disaster Recovery Centre and Central Office IT Department. This distinction is achieved by only a few banks in the country.
The ISO 27001 certification is an endorsement of the Bank’s achieving its commitment to protect and safeguard the critical information in order to ensure secure banking operations by building the processes complying with the highest International standards. Speaking on the occasion, Sri Tanksale said that "getting ISO certification is only the starting of the journey for providing best standard in information security objective of the Bank in order to ensure system and processes for business sensitive, efficient, effective and robust IT security environment. The implementation of the best standard should be a continuous process”.
On this occasion a handbook on Information Security was also released by Shri.M.V.Tanksale, Chairman and Managing Director of the Bank. Smt. V.R.Iyer and Shri.R.K.Dubey , Executive Directors of the Bank were also present on the occasion along with other General Managers of the Bank.
