AIBOC issued its circular No. 26 dated 29.02.2012 on All India Banks’ Pensioners’ and Retirees’ Confederation preparations for foundation conference. We are placing the same here for our readers.

ALL INDIA BANKS’ PENSIONERS’ AND RETIREES’ CONFEDERATION - PREPARATIONS FOR FOUNDATION CONFERENCE - POSTER CAMPAIGN – MOBILIZATION ON WAR FOOTING

The decks are now cleared for the grand gala function of the Foundation Conference of “All India Banks’ Pensioners’ and Retirees’ Confederation”; which is scheduled to be held at Nagpur on 17th March, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. The senior leaders of the All India Bank Officers’ Confederation, along with veterans of the movement, interested in the future of the retirees and pensioners from the banking industry participated in the preliminary meeting held at Bangalore on 22nd February, 2012 to chalk out the future strategy to make the Foundation Conference of the All India Banks’ Pensioners’ and Retirees’ Confederation, a grand success.  During the course of the deliberations, it was the unanimous view of the participants that, this eventful occasion should be conducted, befitting to the stature of the Confederation. Hence, it was decided to mobilize a large number of representatives of pensioners and retirees from the Banking Industry.

As a part of the mobilization campaign, several decisions were taken in the meeting.  Some of the major ones are as follows:-

Ø  All our affiliates/State Units will launch a continuous campaign, on the forth-coming Foundation Conference in their area of jurisdiction by holding meetings.

Ø  To approach the local leaders of the affiliates as well as all the Pensioners’ organizations with the full particulars of the programme as circularized by the Head quarters of the Confederation to ensure participation of a large number of delegates/observers in the meeting;

Ø  To extensively take up the poster campaigning, to send the message of launching of this great Confederation of Pensioners and Retirees all over the country.

Ø  To be in touch with the organizers in Nagpur for any assistance and guidance for effective  conduct of the Conference.

As a first step, we have sent posters to be displayed in all prominent places through the affiliates of the Confederation.

Comrades, let us march forward for securing the welfare and future of the Pensioners and Retirees in the Banking Industry who were responsible for the robust growth of the Banking Industry, and equally to our trade union movement, due to their dedication and commitment towards the cause of the workforce in the industry.

Please advise the representatives of Pensioners’ and Retirees organisations to sponsor their delegates/observers to the foundation conference.
