Central bank of India today received two awards for excellence in HR policies & practices in the banking industry from Greentech Foundation. In a two day conference, being held here on the banks of Dal Lake in SKICC, Shri R.K Dubey, Executive Director of Central Bank of India today received two awards, a Platinum Award in Best HR Strategy category and a gold award for HR Innovation in Employees retention policy category. While addressing Mr. Dubey reiterated that people are the strength of any organization and if realized to their full potential, they can do wonders.
Central Bank of India is among the first 14 banks that were nationalized in 1969. The bank celebrated its 100 years in service recently. Established in 1911 by Sir Sorabji Pochkhanawala, Central Bank of India was the first Indian commercial bank which was wholly owned and managed by Indians. With a network of about 4000 service outlets across 27 Indian states and three Union Territories, Central bank is one of the largest and most trusted bank in the country. Essar Power Limited, Shipping Corporation of India, SAIL were among the other notable winners in the ceremony.
Greentech Foundation Awards spotlight the importance of the entire profession and recognizes excellence in HR Practices & Systems. The awards take a comprehensive look at the full spectrum of HR throughout the country and are presented only to the most outstanding achievers in these areas. Formal ceremony at which the awards are presented is one of the most prominent award ceremonies in India.
