“FOUNDATION CONFERENCE OF ALL INDIA CENTRAL BANK RETIRED OFFICERS’ FEDERATION (A I C B R O F)
A grand gala inaugural session of the Foundation Conference of ALL INDIA CENTRAL BANK RETIRED OFFICERS’ FEDERATION was held at Mumbai on 5th February 2012. The hall was jam packed with enthusiastic delegates, observers and invitees, to lay the foundation of the Retired Officers’ Federation and to be part of the historical event. Sri Manoj Wadnerkar, Treasurer of AICBOF and Chairman of the Reception committee extended a hearty welcome to the guests and invitees. Sri N.K. Pareek, Convener of AICBROF, highlighted the need to have a strong Retired Officers Organization in Central Bank of India.
Sri Vijai Mishra, General Manager, (HR) in his inaugural address thanked the organizers of the conference for inviting him, which gave him an opportunity to renew relationship with his ex-colleagues. He acknowledged that the Retired Officers have many problems for which formation of their own forum was justified. He also dealt in detail the various welfare measures introduced by the Management for the Retirees. He informed that Bank is going to supply a Book containing various benefits available to staff on retirement, prior to their superannuation. He wished the conference a grand success.
Sri. Ravi Shetty, Secretary, AIBOC, Maharashtra State-I, congratulated AICBOF for becoming pioneer in the Banking Industry with the formation of the Federation, exclusively for the Retired Officers. Sri. S.B Rode, President of AICBOF, highlighted the need to form a separate organization for the Retired Officers.
Sri A.R.Saifullah, General Secretary of AICBOF and Chief Guest of the Function, declared that the decision of AICBOF in the formation of Retired Officers’ Federation in the Bank is in tune with the decision taken by AIBOC. He was confident that the membership of the Retired Officers’ Association of the units would increase in a faster pace under the Leadership of yesteryear Architects of our Federation. He requested GM (HR) that the officers would be allowed to retire peacefully and should not face the charge sheet in the last moment of their service. He also pointed out the delay in the settlement of terminal benefits, supply of PPO book and Service Certificate to the Retirees.
The entire programme was compeered by Sri Y.S. Kumar, former Treasurer of AICBOF. The programme concluded with vote of thanks by Sri Kalyan Kr Sengupta, Joint Convener of AICBROF. It was one of the best organized and well attended conferences, which received lot of appreciation by the good gathering.
Sri Kalyan Kr Sengupta, Sri R. Ananthakrishnan, Sri N,K, Pareek and Sri. A.K.Nagar have been elected as President, Sr. Vice President, General Secretary and Treasurer of AICBROF respectively.
We congratulate and wish them and their new team of office bearers all the best in their future endeavors.
Let us march forward for securing the welfare and future of the Retired Officers in our Bank, who were responsible for the growth of the Business and equally to our Trade Union movement, due to their dedication and commitment towards the cause of the Officers.
We request all our units and officer members to contact the Retired Officers in their area and encourage them to become members of Retired Officers’ Association for strengthening the Movement.
