CANARA BANK TO EXPAND IN U.K.

Canara Bank will some open a branch in Leicester, U.K., which has a large population of Indian Origin and has close business links with India. Leicester will be Canara Bank's first branch outside London.

The town has already branches of Punjab National Bank, ICICI, Bank of India, Bank of Baroda and State Bank of India. Thus Canara Bank will be the sixth Indian Bank to have presence in Leicester.
