ICICI OPEN TO DOMESTIC ACQUISITION; RULES OUT OVERSEAS

According to Ms. Chanda Kochhar, Managing Director, ICICI Bank, the bank is not looking at overseas acquisitions but certainly open to buying local banks to increase presence and business. In the past ICICI Bank, acquired two domestic banks namely Sangli Bank and Bank of Madhura.


At present, ICICI Bank has presence in 18 countries.
