1. RISE IN PROTEST AGAINST
v ALARMING PRICE RISE
v HUGE JOB LOSSES
v DISINVESTMENTS IN PUBLIC SECTOR
v RAMPANT VIOLATIONS OF LABOUR LAWS
v LACK OF ADEQUATE PROTECTION TO UNORGANIZED WORKERS
2. ACTION PROGRAMME
v Joint Trade Unions’ Call - Satyagraha & Jail Bharo on 5th March, 2010
v UFBU decides to extend Solidarity & Hold Joint Mass Demonstrations
3. Major Central Trade Unions viz. INTUC, BMS, AITUC, HMS, CITU, AIUTUC, TUCC, AICCTU & UTUC have given a call for Satyagraha / Jail Bharo programme on 5th March, 2010 on the following demands:
a. Control Prices
b. Stop Job Losses
c. Do not disinvest PSUs
d. Take action on Labour Law violations.
e. Ensure legislations for unorganized labour
4. All these are very important demands of the entire working class and trade union movement. When the Central Trade Unions are fighting for these demands, it is necessary for all of us to extend our support and solidarity. Accordingly, in the meeting of UFBU held at Mumbai on 8.2.2010, it has been decided to organise solidarity programme as under:
5. ON 5TH MARCH, 2010 (EVENING)
v Centralized Joint Mass Demonstrations by bank employees & Officers under the banner of UFBU in all State capitals & important cities and towns all over India.
