Central Bank of India was awarded the prize for “Best Customer initiative” for the year 2009 in the Banking Technology Awards function organized by IBA on the 28th January 2010 at Hotel Taj Lands End, Bandra, Mumbai. This was in recognition of various customer initiatives implemented by the Bank including Financial Inclusion initiatives implemented by the Bank in difficult Centres. The award was received by the Head – IT Projects and DGM (Information Technology) from the guest of honour Shri M Haragopal, Head of Finacle from Infosys.
