500TH POST OF CBOAAPUNIT

Dear Readers,

Central Bank Officers' Association, Andhra Pradesh Unit is the first affiliated unit of All India Central Bank Officers' Federation (AICBOF) to open a Blog and till date it continues to be the only Blog functioning in Central Bank of India Trade Union Movement. AICBOF is the recognised majority officers' organisation in Central Bank of India and affiliated to All India Bank Officers' Confederation (AIBOC), which is the majority officers' organisation in the Banking Industry.

Our Blog was opened on 08.09.2009 coinciding with the Executive Committee Meeting of AICBOF held at Hyderabad on 09.09.2009 and 10.09.2009. Our aim was to provide first hand information to our members in Central Bank of India in particular and all CENTRALITES in general, on officers' trade union movement in our Bank and also to make available the information related to Banking and Finance at one particular place.

Our Blog has been in existence almost for six months. From the beginning, we have been making our earnest efforts in updating the Blog on regular basis. Now, we have reached the mark of 500th post in our Blog. Though it may be a small in number when compared with the biggies in the trade union movement, we feel that we are inching forward in the right direction. We shall be continuing our efforts in improving the content and fastness in providing the information. We are also exploring the possibilities of providing additional features to our Blog, though it may take some time, due to the technicalities involved therein.

From an average 5 to 10 visitors per day in the first month, we have now reached an average of 60 - 70 per day. Our visitors crossed 6700 and we are sure that we shall be crossing the visitors no. 7000 before completion of six months period i.e. 07.03.2010. The increase in the no. of visitors is certainly boosting our morale in carrying out our efforts.

Friends, before concluding the post, as General Secretary of Central Bank of Officers' Association, Andhra Pradesh Unit, I would like to thank my Office Bearers as they have been making their sincere efforts in updating the Blog on regular basis in spite of severe hardships faced by them. The running of the Blog and its success has been possible solely due to their dedicated efforts.
