Mr. O.P. Bhatt, Chairman, State Bank of India said that banks' lending rates were expected to remain stable in the next 5-6 months because of the slow credit offtake despite RBI hiking the CRR by 75 basis points.
Mr. Bhatt agreed that calculation of interest rate in Savings Accounts on daily basis from April onwards would have implications on interest expended by the bank on these savings accounts.
