COM. B.N.BHATTACHARYA NOMINATED AS OFFICER – DIRECTOR ON THE BOARD OF UNION BANK OF INDIA

We have pleasure in advising that Com.B.N.Bhattacharya, Treasurer of All India Union Bank Officers’ Federation, our affiliate, has been nominated as Officer-Director on the Board of Union Bank of India for a period of three years from 4th May 2011, the date of notification. The text of relative notification is furnished overleaf.

In exercise of the powers conferred by clause(f) of sub-section(3) of Section 9 of the Banking Companies (Acquisition & Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1970/1980 read with sub-clause (1) & (2) of clause 9 of the Nationalised Banks (Management & Miscellaneous Provisions) Scheme, 1970/1980, the Central Government after consultation with the Reserve Bank of India, hereby nominates Shri.B.N.Bhattacharjee, (DOB: 31.05.1954), Assistant Manager, Union Bank of India as Officer Employee Director on the Board of Directors of Union Bank of India for a period of three years from the date of his nomination or until he ceases to be an officer of the Union Bank of India or until further orders, whichever is the earliest.
