Central Bank of India has joined hands with International Finance Corporation, Washington, a member of the World Bank Group, to finance the economic development of select states in the country. The states identified are Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Orissa, Chattisgarh and the seven north-eastern states.
This is the first time that a commercial bank in India has signed such an MOU with International Finance Corporation, at Mumbai
