TO ALL AFFILIATES/MEMBERS:
SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF 98TH PROGRAMME BY ‘NATURE’
WORKSHOP ON PENSION – 2ND OPTION
We are happy to declare that the 98th Programme of NATURE has since been successfully completed with holding of 2 days workshop on 30th and 31st October, 2010 at Gandhi Nilaya on the 2nd option on Pension, Fixation of Pension and Commutation etc., in order to equip our leaders from various affiliates of the Confederation. The programme was attended by the members nominated by the affiliates of the Confederation from different parts of the country.
Com.G.D.Nadaf, the General Secretary of the AIBOC and AISBOF inaugurating the programme covered extensively about the background under which the Confederation could successfully clinch the issue of the 2nd Option on Pension and the details about the long drawn struggle launched by the Confederation to ensure the success of this long pending demand. He also shared with members, the details about the negotiations and the turbulent period that the Bank unions went through this period in ensuring the successful signing of the 2nd Option on Pension Scheme.
Com.K.Dinakaran, the General Secretary of Indian Bank Officers’ Association Goa and Karnataka Region was the Chief Guest on the occasion of the valedictory function. He appreciated the efforts of NATURE and complimented all the people who participated in the programme and wished them all success in guiding the retirees as well as the serving members in regard to the various aspects of the Pension.
Com.A.N.Krishna Murthy, Dy.General Secretary, Canara Bank Officers’ Association was the Guest of Honor on the Occasion. He appreciated the efforts of NATURE in providing all the necessary inputs on the 2nd Option on Pension and hoped that the participants would be richly benefited by this workshop in rendering guidance to their members in their respective organisations.
The members of faculty for 2 days programme consisted of Com.Shantha Raju, the former General Secretary of AIBOC and AISBOF, Com.K.B.Ballur, the former President of Canara Bank Officers’ Association, Com.K.N.Prabhu, the Manager, PPG Department, State Bank of Mysore and Com.K.Nagaraj Shastry, the Secretary of the AISBOF who also provided all the necessary guidance and information about the salient features of the Pension Regulations with particular reference to the 2nd Option on Pension and the procedure in regard to the fixation of Pension, Family Pension, Commutation etc.,
Comrades, this is yet another mile stone in the history of NATURE which has done yeomen service to the Bank Officers’ fraternity for the past 2 decades. The conduct of Workshop on the Agreement on 2nd Option, is yet another feather in the Cap of NATURE.
