ALLAHABAD BANK MANAGER ARRESTED BY CBI FOR GRAFT

A manager of a nationalised bank has been arrested by CBI for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 51,000 from a complainant.

CBI said Nishikant, Manager (Law), Scale-II, Allahabad Bank, Zonal Office, here was arrested after the complainant alleged that the accused had demanded illegal gratification from him for processing his bid relating to auction of a plot of land located at village Jainagar, Dhanbad.

The plot was acquired by Allahabad Bank from a Dhanbad-based private firm which failed to repay the bank loan.
