COM.G.D.NADAF, NOMINATED AS OFFICER-DIRECTOR OF STATE BANK OF INDIA
We have pleasure in advising that Com.G.D.Nadaf, General Secretary of the All India Bank Officers’ Confederation and the General Secretary of All India State Bank Officers’ Federation has nominated as Officer-Director on the Board of State Bank of India from 4th November 2010. The text of the relative notification is furnished overleaf.
Born on 1st of June 1952, at Saptasagar, a small village in Karnataka, Shri. Nadaf joined State Bank of India on 19th June, 1972. He was promoted to the Officers’ cadre in the year 1979. Presently, he is MMG’s - II. He did not take up further promotions in the interest of serving the Bank Officers’ Movement.
Ever since he joined the Bank, he evinced keen interest in Union/Association activities. He was the President of SBI Officer Association, Karnataka before being elevated as the General Secretary of All India State Bank Officers’ Federation in the year 2006. His presence in the Central Board of SBI will help the organisation and add value to the discussions.
Endowed with excellent qualities of leadership, hardworking nature, organising and negotiation skills, he has endeared himself to one and all, both at the Bank level as well as industry level.
We congratulate Shri.G.D.Nadaf, on his induction to the SBI Board and wish him all the best in his new assignment.

NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by clause(cb) of section 19 read with sub- section (3) of Section 20of the State Bank of India Act, 1955 (23 of 1955) and rule 4 of the State Bank of India (Appointment of Employees Directors) Rules, 1974, the Central Government after consultation with the Reserve Bank of India, hereby nominates Shri. G.D. NADAF (DOB: 01.06.1952), Deputy Manager, Local Head Office, Bangalore, as Officer Employees Director on the Central Board of Directors of State Bank of India for a period of three years from the date of notification or until he ceases to be an Officer of the State Bank of India or until further orders, whichever is the earliest.
