To,
The Chairman,
The Indian Banks’ Association,
World Trade Centre Complex,
Centre 1, 6th Floor, Cuffe Parade,
MUMBAI – 400 005.

Dear Sir,

LONG PENDING ISSUES - MEETING WITH THE CONFEDERATION

The issues that were raised in the “Charter of Demands” could not be comprehensively addressed other than those related to the Salary Structure and allowances, during the conclusion of the 9th Bipartite Settlement. The Confederation suggested that there has to be a separate meeting in order to resolve some of the left-out issues due to paucity of time at the time of conclusion of the 9th Bipartite. Thereafter, a number of communications have been sent by the Confederation, listing out a few issues, which need immediate attention and resolution to provide relief to officers’ fraternity in the Banking Industry.

The Executive Committee/Working committee of the Confederation took note of the delay in sorting out of the issues by IBA over the last several months despite repeated reminders and communications by the organization.  It is in this background, it was the unanimous decision of the Committee that the Chairman of IBA should be approached for an exclusive meeting with the Confederation for holding detailed discussions on the various issues raised in respect of Officers working in the Banking Industry to work out solutions.

We furnish below a list of communications sent by the Confederation apart from the issues that were not attended to, from the “Charter of Demands” after signing of the 9th Bipartite for your ready reference.  We would submit a separate agenda on hearing from you about the date of meeting for structured discussions on the subject.
