AIBOC issued its circular no. 94 dated 19.10.2011 on the Triennial General Body Conference of ALL INDIA CENTRAL BANK OFFICERS’ FEDERATION (AICBOF) held at Ahmedabad. We are reproducing the same here for our readers.

TRIENNIAL GENERAL BODY CONFERENCE OF ALL INDIA CENTRAL BANK OFFICERS’ FEDERATION (AICBOF)

The Triennial General Body Meeting of All India Central Bank Officers’ Federation was held in a grand manner at prestigious “Aangan” Hall on 15th & 16th October, 2011 at Ahmedabad. The inaugural session was organised with all pomp and show, in a well-decorated hall. Rich tributes through offering of flowers were paid to the founder of the Bank and the founder of the Federation.

Com.D.S.Bhadauria, General Secretary of the Federation in his introductory speech, briefed on the activities of the Federation, and the ups and downs in the journey of the Federation. Com.S.C.Gupta, General Secretary of Gujarat Unit of CBOA, welcomed the guests and the gathering.

Com. Ashok.G.Rindani, Secretary, State Unit of AIBOC, inaugurated the Conference by lighting the lamp along with other dignitaries on the dais. In his inaugural speech, he recollected the services rendered by the earlier leaders of the Federation, such as late Com.Farokh Doctor, Com.Jamsaheb, Com.R.C.Agarwal and others. He complimented the AICBOF for withstanding the attacks by the earlier Management and came out unscathed. Central Bank is still very young and vibrant at 100th year of its existence and doing yeomen service to the society said Com. Rindani, amidst thunders applause.

Sri. M.V.Tanksale, CMD of the Bank, was the Chief Guest. His slogan “to work together” was revised by the Officers with louder cheers. He assured that, manpower planning will be completed shortly and adequate number of staff will be provided to the branches. He is also planning to institute HR Excellence Awards in the Bank. Shortly, branch expansion programme will also be taken on hand, said Shri.Tanksale.

He complimented the Officers for completing, full computerization of 600 branches of RRBs, sponsored by the Bank, within 51 days record time. He values investment on HR more, compared to the expenses towards technology. He also assured to review the entire gambit of disciplinary rules in the Bank and restore confidence in the work force to contribute their best to the Bank. He complimented on the positive role played by the Federation.

Com.G.D.Nadaf, General Secretary, AIBOC in his speech, during the ‘Inaugural Session’, as well as in ‘Business Session’ next day paid rich tribute to the leadership and membership of the Central Bank Officers Federation, for coming out successfully against all odds in the worst industrial relations scenario in the recent past. He also recollect the stellar role played by Com.R.C.Agarwal, the then President, along with Com. Shantha Raju, the then General Secretary of AIBOC, in 8th Bipartite in achieving 100% neutralization of D.A. They kept open the issue of 2nd Option on Pension for further discussions at industry level, while signing the joint note on 2nd June, 2005, which paved way for achievement of the 2nd option during 9th Bipartite. He complimented all former leaders and membership of AIBOC in unitedly fighting to achieve the demand. He shared the latest organisation position on all the issues of 5th August, 2011 strike. Further, he detailed on the action programme of the UFBU to achieve pending issues with the Government/IBA such as Compassionate Appointment Scheme, 5 Day Week, Regulated Working Hours, Improvements to Staff Loans; and to oppose Amendments to Banking Laws, Implementation of anti-trade union recommendations of the Dr. Khandelwal Committee etc. He also briefed on the expected stand of the Management on ensuing 10th Bipartite negotiations and the UFBU to prioritise updation of pension issue. He placed on record the services rendered by them to the AIBOC in general & AICBOF in particular. He felicitated Com.D.S.Bhadauria General Secretary & Com.Y.S.Kumar, Treasurer of the Federation on account of their retirement at the end of the month.

Com.A.R.Saifullah, President presided and Com. Manoj Wadnerkar, DGS, proposed vote of thanks. The General Secretary’s report along with accounts and resolutions were adopted after due deliberations. A new team of Office Bearers for the current triennial was elected. The entire house paid standing ovation to the retiring leaders and they gave a befitting adieu to Com.Bhadauria and Com.Kumar.

We compliment to leadership of the AICBOF for successful conduct of their Triennial General Conference in an exemplary manner.

We also congratulate and reiterate our support to the new team of Office Bearers headed by Com.S.B.Rode, as President, Com.A.R.Saifullah as General Secretary and Com.Manoj Wadnekar as Treasurer in their endeavours.
