“SRI D.S. RISHABADAS CO-OPTED AS GENERAL SECRETARY OF AIBOC
We are happy to inform all our members that at the 68th meeting of the Executive Committee of the All India Bank Officers’ Confederation held on 30th and 31st May, 2012 at Bangalore, Sri D.S. Rishabadas, newly elected General Secretary of the All India State Bank Officers’ Federation was unanimously co- opted as General Secretary of All India Bank Officers’ Confederation, for the remaining term of the triennial 2011-2014. We congratulate and wish him all the best in his new assignment.

Sri P.K. Sarkar, President of the Confederation will be the Chief Spokesman for negotiations with IBA/Government and also our nominee to the Convenership of the UFBU, to be decided in the next meeting of the UFBU on 6th June 2012 at Kolkata.

CHARTER OF DEMANDS

The charter of demands committee of the Confederation will meet on 13th June, 2012 at Bangalore to finalise the report. As the largest organization of Bank officers, AIBOC took the initiative and the charter of demands would be submitted shortly.

PROMOTION PROCESSES

It has been observed that the promotion processes for various scales are being undertaken on a super fast speed.  To the surprise of all, the minority officers wing have questioned the administration for the promotions. Let their opinion open the eyes of the remaining officers. But we know the ambitions and aspirations of all officers, for which we are running the organisation and it is desirable that there should be promotion process every year.

RURAL AND SEMI-URBAN STINT

As suggested in the revised PPO, which was unilaterally introduced, Rural and Semi-Urban services are the pre-promotion conditions for the promotions to S-II and S-III  and accordingly our Bank advised all Zonal and Regional offices during April 2012, to post/transfer the officers to the Rural/Semi-Urban branches to complete their Rural/Semi-Urban service.

We made representations to the Administration and we are happy to inform that the Rural and Semi-Urban postings/transfers are defered to coincide with the ensuing promotional postings.

PLEASE CONTINUE TO MAINTAIN THE CONFIDENCE, CONVICTION AND COMMITMENT IN A I C B O F  &  A I B O C, WHICH ARE YOUR OWN ORGANISATIONS.”

Kind regards,

Yours Sincerely,
Sd/-
