HDFC Bank said that it has synchronised its phone-banking services across major cities which will help customers do transactions through a single number.
The bank already has a good presence in phone-banking, handling around 100,000 calls a day or 3.5 million per month and the recent move is a step towards consolidating its phone-banking operations, a senior bank official told.
"Phone banking has emerged as one of the key delivery channels at HDFC Bank...With technological advancements, it is now possible to offer single set of phone numbers across multiple locations," he added.
