TO ALL AFFILIATES/MEMBERS:
SILVER JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS - CONDUCT OF PHOTO EXHIBITION
One of the issues that came up for discussion in the meeting of the Sub-Committee on the Silver Jubilee Celebrations held at Bangalore on 19th March, 2010 was the need to create an awareness about the movement through the campaign about the historical background of the Confederation and also through the presentation of visuals of the various organizational activities which give historical glimpses of the movement it has come through over the last 25 years. It is necessary in the sense the leadership who were in the frontline during the formative days and the subsequent generation of leaders have all exited from the active role due to their superannuation. It may be difficult to recapitulate the actual events unless we are able to collect sufficient visual materials along with the publications of the Confederation as well as its affiliates throughout the country.
In course of the discussions on the subject, the members made various suggestions for effective conduct of the Silver Jubilee Celebrations including recapitulation of some of the great events through visual media, that is the photographs as well as the written documents in the form of circulars, various publications etc., The members also were of the view that the Central Office should take up editing some of the past literature including the Circulars of importance and bringing it out in the form of an exclusive publication. The members also were of the view that the Head Quarters should also organise an exhibition of photographs representing the activities of the Confederation as well as those conducted by the State Units, the individual affiliates etc., in order to inspire the current membership all over the country.
Hence, it was decided that the State Units and individual affiliates should be requested to forward photographs, circulars etc., of importance from the point of view of the Silver Jubilee Celebrations of the Confederation, to the Head Quarters. The Central Office will take necessary initiative to organize photo exhibition and also bring out a separate publication containing all the important circulars and other literatures on the occasion of the Silver Jubilee Celebrations by the Confederation.
All our Affiliates/State Units are requested to act accordingly.
