Central bank of India is the first Nationalised Bank to appoint a Chief Customer Service Officer. Mr. U. Sangekar ( Ex GM HRD, Bank of Baroda) has been appointed as the Chief Customer Service Officer of the Bank – another giant step to tone up customer services in the Bank. His prime function is redressal of dispute between Bank & its Customer before it is referred to Banking Ombudsman. By his appointment redressal of grievances will become faster and focused as the aggrieved customer can approach his office directly who will act as an Internal Ombudsman.
