Central Bank of India is expected to finalise this week the contours of its proposed rights issue, its Chairman and Managing Director, Mr S. Sridhar, has said.
The rights issue is being planned to help the bank shore up its Tier-I capital to a minimum of 8 per cent.
“We will firm up the rights issue plans and announce details this week,” Mr Sridhar told Business Line when contacted. Mr Sridhar said that the board of Central Bank of India was yet to give its nod for the rights issue.
