“JOINT DISCUSSIONS AT CENTRAL OFFICE
Joint Discussions between the
Management and the Federation for the policy issues concerning the officers
were held at Central office on 26th &27th April 2012. In these discussions
a good number of policy issues were taken up by us and deliberated. We furnish
hereunder some of the important issues for your information.
Ø Introduction
of Inter-Region request to officers and other amendments in the existing
Transfer policy.
Ø Staffing
pattern.
Ø Improvement
in the Furniture policy.
Ø Increase
in Rent Reimbursement ceilings in the RFA.
Ø Mobile
Handsets to all BM’s.
Ø Recording
of Nomination for Gratuity.
Ø Opening
of Holiday Homes at Shirdi ,Kodaikanal Hill station, Pachmarhi Hill Station
& Gaya.
Ø Allowances
for working on Sundays and Holidays.
Ø Enhancement
of Entertainment expenses.
Ø Enhancement
of Existing contributory Group Insurance scheme.
Ø Enhancement
in ceilings of reimbursement of purchase of Brief case.
Ø Improvement
in the existing conveyance reimbursement scheme.
Ø Provision
of updated OSR to all officers.
Apart from the above, we have
taken up various other issues and we are hopeful that our Administration would
consider our demands with compassion.
PAYMENT OF EX-GRATIA LUMP SUM AMOUNT IN LIEU OF COMPASSIONATE GROUNDS
Considering the severe hardship
to some of the dependents (who fail to apply for payment of ex-gratia lump sum
amount in lieu of compassionate grounds, within the stipulated period of six
months from the date of death of the employee) our administration is now
allowing those dependents to submit the applications before 31.05.2012.
We request all our Friends to
identify and meet the dependents for the resubmission of the applications in
time.
PROMOTION POLICY
Based on the guidelines issued by
Government of India, our Bank has revised the promotion policy on 14.02.2012,
incorporating the eligibility criteria, mainly for promotion from S-I to II,
the officer should have completed minimum of 2 years continuous service in
Rural branch and for promotion from S-II to III, the officer should have
completed minimum of 3 years service in R/SU branches.
Promotion policy is a bilateral
issue, which is settled at periodical intervals. In blatant violation of this
time honored conventions, the Government of India came out with unilateral
guidelines on the subject.
AIBOC lodged strong protest with
Government of India opposing the unilateral directions. Now relaxations in
respect of mandatory requirement of R/SU services for promoting to S-II &
III, were granted and accordingly the existing system of permitting the
officers who have yet to complete the requisite service, to participate in the
process with the post promotion condition of completion of R/SU service will be
continuing only in respect of officers promoted /to be promoted up to 2012-13.
The Government directive provides
only temporary respite. The matter will be pursued further for a Bilateral
settlement.
WITH KIND REGARDS,
Yours sincerely,
Sd/-
