AIBOC CIRCULAR NO. 152 DATED 09.11.2010

AIBOC issued its circular No. 152 dated 9th November 2010 on the agitation launched by Dhanalakshmi Bank Officers’ Organisation. We are reproducing the same here for our readers.

CIRCULAR NO:152                                               9th NOVEMBER, 2010

TO ALL AFFILIATES/MEMBERS:

DHANALAKSHMI BANK OFFICERS’ ORGANISATION LAUNCHES AGITATION AGAINST THE TYRANNICAL MANAGEMENT - TO OBSERVE HUNGER STRIKE IN FRONT OF CORPORATE OFFICE ON 14TH NOVEMBER, 2010

We have informed our Affiliates and Memebers about the despotic rule of the present Management of the Bank which has led to Industrial Relations crisis in the Bank, provoking our affiliate Dhanalakshmi Bank Officers’ Organisation to launch a series of agitational programme against the unjust stand of the Management on various issues, viz.,

Ø       Denial of Bonus and increments to Officers, without any reason.
Ø       Victimisation of Office-bearers by transferring them to marketing from operations against the agreed norms.
Ø       Deunionisation of the Officers who joined on cost to company terms, by preventing them from joining the union. Overt and covert threats to the above category of officers of dire consequences, if they continue as members of DBOO.
Ø       Denial of Second Option for Pension to a small batch of Officers, who are eligible for the same.
Ø       Unilateral withdrawal of telephone rent reimbursement facility to the residential telephones provided to the Officers who are under IBA pattern pay structure.
Ø       Many Officers who exercised their options for choice postings are without proper job roles.
Ø       Large-scale retrenchment of sales team, Solution Managers and Data Entry Operators.
Ø       Shiftidng the focus from quality of Advances to quantity.

Our affiliate has made sincere efforts to solve the issues through mutual dialogue and to everybody’s shock; the Management has shut the doors for discussions. The Management has also exhibited recalcitrant attitude to the issues raised by our Affiliate, who have waited patiently with the fond hope that the issues will find a solution within the framework of structured forum.  As the Management has exhibited its insensitiveness to the legitimate demands of our affiliate, they are forced to observe hunger strike for one day in front the Corporate Office of the Bank, by all the Members of DBOO on 14th November, 2010. Their demands are:

Ø       Stop discrimination and announce Bonus and increment to all Officers
Ø       Post the Officer who has been shifted from operations to sales, back to operations
Ø       Remove the Restrictions on Union Membership to Officers.
Ø       Stop threatening Officers from joining any Association.
Ø       Give Pension option to all Officers.
Ø       Stop stepmotherly attitude towards IBA salaried officers.

Comrades, the issues raised by our affiliate are very genuine and no sensible Management can dare ignore the same.  We call upon all our Affiliates and Members to extend fraternal support to the hunger strike slated for 14th November, 2010 and make the programme a big success.

We hope wise counsel will prevail over the Management of the Bank and they will initiate immediate steps to sort out the burning issues to the satisfaction of all.  The officers of the Bank have exhibited great restraint in their conduct and no body should test the patience of a patient man.  Ironically, 14th November, happens to be the day of birth of the Bank, 83 years ago.

With warm greetings,
Sd/-
(G.D. NADAF)
GENERAL SECRETARY
