CENTRAL BANK OF INDIA ORGANISES MULTIPURPOSE CAMP AT CHENNAI


As a part of Centenary Celebrations Central Bank of India organizes multipurpose camp at Egmore, Chennai.

The Chennai zone of the bank comprising of Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puduchery with a network of 261 branches has been celebrating the centenary by organizing various programmes in different parts of the states. As a part of the ongoing celebrations a multipurpose camp was organized at Egmore, Chennai on 6th June 2011.

Mrs. Vijayalakshmi R. Iyer, Executive Director of the Bank presided over the camp which was attended by over 150 customers of the Bank from Chennai. Credit sanctions to the tune of Rs.17.99 crores were accorded and sanction letters were distributed to 105 beneficiaries. While distributing loans to women beneficiaries she told that uplifting women not only develops the households, but it develops the community and consequently the Nation.
