Indian banks raised 11 billion rupees through certificates of deposit (CDs) as against 10.04 billion rupees.
Yield on the three-month Reuters CD benchmark was at 7.25 per cent, unchanged from Friday's level, and secondary market volumes fell to 3.2 billion rupees from 9 billion rupees on Friday.
Vijaya Bank raised 1.25 billion rupees through three-month notes at 7.33 per cent. ING Vysya Bank raised 2.5 billion rupees through notes maturing on Jan. 16 at 7.40 per cent.
Syndicate Bank raised 7.25 billion rupees via notes maturing on March 11 at 7.65 per cent.
