CBOA-AP issued its circular No. 13 dated 8th April 2013 on the
appointment of Sri S.B. Rode, President, AICBOF as Officer-Director on the
Board of Central Bank of India. We are placing the same here for our readers.
CIRCULAR NO.: GS: 2013: 013 Date: 08.04.2013
TO ALL OFFICERS PLEASE
CIRCULATE
Dear Friends,
UNPRECEDENTED RESPONSE FROM THE OFFICERS’ COMMUNITY ON THE APPOINTMENT OF
OUR NOMINEE AS OFFICER-DIRECTOR ON THE BOARD OF THE BANK – JUBLILIATION AND CELEBRATION
ALL OVER THE STATE
The appointment of Sri S.B Rode,
President, All India Central Bank Officers’ Federation (AICBOF) and General Secretary
of our Pune Unit, has been received by the entire Officers’ Community across
the state with overwhelming joy, irrespective of their trade union affiliations.
We are glad to inform that a large no. of officers affiliated to other organisations
have also called on us and congratulated the achievement of All India Central
Bank Officers’ Federation recognizing the sensualities and the wishes of majority
of the officers.
We are proud to inform that we
are affiliated to AICBOF, which is the only recognized majority Organisation
representing Officers in Central Bank of India and the majority status of which
has been recognized by the Govt. of India also with its appointment of our Nominee
as Officer-Director, shattering the hopes of the Minority Officers’ Union, who
have been moving one petition after another in the court of law for stalling
the appointment of our nominee as Officer-Director.
It gives immense pleasure to
us when the entire Officers’ Community expresses their jubilation and conveys
their sincere wishes on the occasion showing their deep faith on the strength
of our organisation and the capability to protect the interests of officers
working in the bank and the Banking Industry.
Reflecting the true sentiments
from the hearts of Officers, the occasion has been celebrated by all the
officers all over the state by distributing sweets and bursting crackers.
Friends, with the feedback we have received from all corners of the State, we
can confidently say that majority of the officers, irrespective of their trade
union affiliation, have been relishing
the appointment of our nominee as Officer-Director on the Board.
We are very glad to inform
that many branches, including those branches where we do not have any
representation, have celebrated the occasion in befitting manner bursting out
their suppressed feelings and showing solidarity to our organisation. At Vijayawada
and Visakhapatnam, the Regional Headquarters, sweets have been distributed to
all the staff members working at Regional Office and branches, recreating a
festive mood.
At Hyderabad, the Zonal
Headquarters, the response was unheard of and celebrated the occasion throughout
the day at almost all the branches. In the evening, each and every staff member
working in the compound of Zonal Office was met and sweets were distributed to share
the pride moments of our organisation. Immediately thereafter crackers were
burst raising the spirits of our members to a high level. Even the retired
officers were also present on the occasion to share the pride moment of AICBOF.
The appointment of Sri S.B.
Rode as Officer-Director on the Board has not only established the majority
status but also proved that Goebbel’s propaganda will not yield any result
except creating hurdles in the way.
On this occasion, we wish to
thank all our members who have continued their affiliation towards
AIBOC/AICBOF/CBOA despite facing several challenges from all the corners
(including some of the executives at Regional level who had openly taken
decisions in support of Minority Officers’ Union ignoring the interests of the
bank) and exhibited their dedication towards the cause of Officers’ Movement sacrificing
their personal interests.
