HDFC Bank has launched special rates for Personal Loans and Gold Loans. The bank is targeting certain categories of customers who would like to avail these low rates especially during the ensuing festival season.
There are four broad categories of customers that the HDFC Bank is looking at:
Personal Loans
Ø Special offer for Government employees with 3 to 4 % waiver on the existing rack rates [minimum of 14.5%]
Ø Special pricing to Defense employees with 3 to 4 % waiver on the existing rack rates [minimum of 14.5%]
Ø Offer to Teachers with 3-4 % waiver on the existing rack rates [minimum of 14.5%]
Ø 0.50% discount on Processing Fees to Salary account holders with HDFC Bank [normal charge 2.50%].
Loan against Gold
Ø Save up to 2% on processing charges for all new customers.
Ø Customers can avail this offering anytime up to Sep 30, 2010.
These offers are targeted at a large segment of customers comprising of over 50 lakh government employees (which includes defense services).
