It is
highly unfortunate that at one side our Bank has posted such a marginal
increase in the financials and at the other side an alarming position of
provisioning, NPA. It is shocking episode that entire operating profit is
utilized towards provision of bad loans and officers' fraternity is held
responsible for the same. We do not understand the action of the Bank of
curbing Staff Welfare facility on the ground of loss/ marginal profit posted by
the Bank. Friends, just peep in your mind and think who the architects of such
a tragic situation are.
There should be proper mix of corporate loans
of high net worth companies coupled with retail loans by the field
functionaries then only we shall stand with the big Banks magic figures and
thereby we shall regain our prime position in the industry which was fact from
years ago.
You will definitely agree that instead of
concentrating on business growth the executives at Central Office, Zonal and
Regional Heads are indulging in continuous attack on the trade union rights,
deunionising the officers, total disregard to bilateralism and unbearable
pressures on officers. This has caused into physical disabilities and mental
destructions to officers at large. Some of the shameful incidences are quoted
below for the information of the officers.
·
Coimbatore R.M. has uttered in BM meeting
that "Dogs take food without any work, beggars get food without doing any
work, and Centralites should not take food without doing any work."
·
No security was given by the management when
one of the Branch Managers in Pune Zone was brutally man handled by the
borrowal parties for not sanctioning loan. The condition of the Branch Manager
was so extreme that he was hospitalized for a week.
·
The request of Branch Manager in Siwan region
to provide security against the local Dons was termed as dramatic and flimsy
incidence by R.M.
·
Pune SRM, while entering his office starts
abusing and threatening the officers including DRM in front of sub staff and
clerical staff creating fear psychosis and demoralization of officers, as if
the employees and officers are his slaves.
The
things have gone to such an extreme position that, one of our officer
colleagues has preferred to commit suicide. The tragic incidence in PNB is also
example of white collared terrorism prevailing in the Banking Industry. The
whole banking fraternity is shocked and saddened on these unfortunate
incidences. But the management of PNB has taken stringent action against FGM
and SRM by suspending them. When our management will take action against such "SARDARS"?
Instead
of taking corrective steps for the resolution of the issues raised by
Federation, Management is marching with one point agenda of illegitimate and
unlawful changes with schizophrenic approach. The Government guidelines,
policies and conventions are being bluntly violated in transfers, postings and
rotations. The bilateralism has been given a go bye by the management by
thumping the manpower budget and categorization of branches which ultimately
has resulted into agony in the minds of officers.
What are expected are bilateralism, conducive
atmosphere, comfort and ambience branding, which will result into positive
changes in our Bank? We are afraid that the management will not prefer for
this. There will be a situation that no alternative left but to repent.
Yours sincerely,
Sd.-
