SRI. RAJEEV RISHI- NEW CHAIRMAN & MANAGING DIRECTOR

Sri. Rajeev Rishi has taken over as Chairman and Managing Director of Central Bank of India from 1st Aug, 2013. Before this elevation, Sri. Rajeev Rishi was the Executive Director of Indian Bank for three years. He has a wide experience in Banking operations and has worked for almost three decades in various capacities in Oriental Bank of Commerce and had finally reached to the post of General Manager, before being elevated as Executive Director of Indian Bank.

On behalf of All India Central Bank Officers’ Federation, we convey our Heartiest Congratulations and Best Wishes to him and welcomes him to the CENTRALITE family.

WAGE REVISION TALKS WITH IBA

We understand the IBA is deciding to hold next round of talks on 12th Aug, 2013 at Mumbai with the representatives of Officer Association/Workmen unions, about the wage revision in Banks. The collection of data from the Banks has also been completed and hence there should be no difficulty in the commencement of ground work in the matter of salary structure and other related components.

Let us hope for the meaningful dialogue, so that the entire exercise of salary negotiations concluded in good time.

DEARNESS ALLOWANCE

The average closing index number as per 1960 series for the quarter ended June-2013 is 5211.91 and accordingly the Dearness allowance is payable to Officers on 593 slabs with effect from 01.08.2013 as against 561 for the previous quarter. The rate of DA would be 88.95%.

WITH REGARDS,

Yours Sincerely,
