CABINET CLEARS SBI AMENDMENT BILL

Govt. has cleared the introduction of State Bank of India (Amendment) Bill, which seeks to bring the Govt.'s holding at par with other public sector banks at 51%. Currently, Govt. holds 59% stake in SBI and the same cannot fall below 55%.
